Position Overview

The purpose of the Senior Account Manager role is to lead by example—driving customer success through direct account ownership while actively mentoring and supporting a team of Account Managers. This player/coach position ensures process consistency, accelerates team development, and strengthens cross-functional collaboration across quoting, submittals, and releases. Through a deep commitment to service, accountability, and continuous improvement, the Senior Account Manager plays a critical role in scaling Armorock’s customer experience and reinforcing a high-performance sales culture.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Account Manager Duties (40%)

The Senior Account Manager continues to perform all core responsibilities of an Account Manager:

  1. Lead Identification & Market Research
  2. Customer Engagement & Quoting
  3. Submittal Package Management
  4. Order Release & Fulfillment

Team Oversight and Coaching (20%)

  • Serve as the primary mentor for account managers, offering daily guidance on the core daily functions.
  • Conduct weekly pipeline review meetings with assigned team members to ensure CRM hygiene, follow-ups, and proper stage movement.
  • Lead by example by continuing to own and manage a defined territory of business while modeling best practices in service, communication, and execution.

Process Compliance and Continuous Improvement (15%)

  • Ensure team adherence to quoting and release protocols, with accountability for documentation accuracy and timely hand-offs to estimating and project management.
  • Review submittal and release packages from the team for completeness and quality assurance.
  • Identify recurring errors or process gaps and proactively resolve them through training or SOP updates.

Cross-Function Leadership (15%)

  • Act as a liaison between the account management team and other departments (estimating, sales management, engineering, project management, operations) to resolve blockers and improve workflows.
  • Participate in weekly sales/operations meetings and represent the voice of the account management team.

Performance Management (5%)

  • Track individual AM performance metrics and report to the Sales Manager.
  • Conduct quarterly performance reviews or feedback sessions with each team member assigned to you, documenting development areas and wins.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

Other duties include providing on-site support for product installations as needed to ensure successful execution and strengthen customer relationships. The Senior Account Manager will also assist in planning and participating in trade shows, customer events, and lunch-and-learns to drive brand awareness and deepen market engagement. They will contribute to strategic planning sessions, offering frontline insights that shape future tools, workflows, and customer engagement models.

Qualifications

Position Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related subject matter is preferred but not required

Travel Requirements:

  • Long day trips as needed

Other Key Skills

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and CRM systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of ASTM standards and specifications relevant to wastewater structures preferred.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software is a plus.

  • Sitting: Must be able to remain in a sitting position 50% of the time
