Laser Operator Position Summary:

Liberty Trailers is a leading American manufacturer of open trailers. The laser operator will use Mazak laser cutting machines used to cut metal sheets within our fabrication shop. The operator will be required to read blueprints, take careful measurements, and feed raw material into programmed lasers to produce custom sheets and metal parts.

Laser Operator Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• 2 years laser cutting, and programming experience is preferrable.
• Previous CAD experience and strong computer knowledge.
• Good communication skills (verbal & written).
• Keyboarding, Basic math knowledge.
• Continuously pursue corrective and preventative measures to ensure type and layout of orders to meet customer requirements.
• Identify nonconforming products per procedures and help the company meet measurable objectives.

Requirements:

• Has a minimum of a High School diploma/GED plus 3+ years of fabrication experience.
• Possesses strong attention to detail for accurate and repeatable measurements, recording data and interpreting blueprints.
• Understanding of metal types and forming characteristics.
• Follows ISO 9001 procedures.
• Able to lift 50lbs.
• Has excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Is a supportive team member who works collaboratively within a group.
• Possesses a bias for action, the ability to handle multiple priorities and a positive, open attitude.
• Is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and embraces Continuous Improvement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
