The Facilities and Maintenance Associate will use the principles and practices of painting, carpentry, light plumbing, electrical work, and building system maintenance; and be proficient in using standard hand and power tools. They will be responsible for ensuring the facility's overall cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

A successful candidate must be able to:

• Identify and address minor plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and drips.

• Repair or replace fixtures, faucets, and pipes as needed.

• Conduct routine inspections to prevent plumbing problems.

• Perform general maintenance tasks to ensure the facility's cleanliness and functionality.

• Repair or replace damaged equipment, furniture, and fixtures.

• Regularly troubleshoot and repair light switches, outlets, and electrical fixtures.

• Replace bulbs, ballasts, and wiring as necessary.

• Ensure compliance with safety protocols while working on electrical systems.ar inspections to identify maintenance needs.

• Assist in maintaining a safe working environment by promptly addressing safety hazards.

• Report any safety concerns or incidents to the Facilities Manager.

• Work in an organized, time-efficient, safe manner.

• Operate machinery and equipment regularly used in maintenance and simple construction.

• All other duties assigned.

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Ability to operate different types of tools and machinery, utilize power and hand tools effectively, and follow instructions as given.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

• This position may require the ability to perform tasks that involve standing, walking, lifting 100+ lbs, bending, stooping, computer work, working with live electricity, and other physical activities. Candidates should be able to meet these physical demands with or without reasonable accommodations.
